Corinthians 6:1 (ESV) 1 Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not
to receive the grace of God in vain. 1 John 1:1-10 (ESV) 1 That which was
from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes,
which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of
life 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and
proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made
manifest to us3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so
that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with
the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things
so that our joy may be complete. 5 This is the message we have heard from him
and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6
If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and
do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son
cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we
say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV) 9 Two are better than one, because they have a good
reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But
woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11
Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?
12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will
withstand him a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Genesis 2:18 (ESV) 18
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will
make him a helper fit for him.” Mark 3:31-35 (ESV) 31 And his mother and his
brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. 32 And a
crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Your mother and your
brothers are outside, seeking you.” 33 And he answered them, “Who are my
mother and my brothers?” 34 And looking about at those who sat around him, he
said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of
God, he is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 10:27-31 (ESV) 27 What
I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered,
proclaim on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but
cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in
hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall
to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are
all numbered. 31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many
sparrows. Luke 9:57-62 (ESV) 57 As they were going along the road, someone
said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” 58 And Jesus said to him,
“Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has
nowhere to lay his head.” 59 To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said,
“Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” 60 And Jesus said to him, “Leave
the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom
of God.” 61 Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say
farewell to those at my home.” 62 Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his
hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” |
