| The Search for Stability in Uncertain
Times A. As nearly long as there have been human
beings, there have been tumultuous times.
B. In times of upheaval and
uncertainty, we long for stability.
C. For those with eyes to see,
ears to hear, and hearts to understand, the search can lead to blessing. “The LORD…Will Be the Stability of Your
Times” (Isa 33:1-6) Þ We can look to
the LORD for stability in times of uncertainty because: • He is exalted, for he dwells on high
(33:5; Psalm 2) • As the one who alone
dwells on high, he is the perfect source of (33:5-6): • Justice (Psa 7) • Righteousness (Psa 10) • Abundant salvation (Psa 69) • Wisdom (Psa 51) • Knowledge (Psa 119:65-72) Þ It comes down to this question: will we
reverently fear him? (Psa 111) |
