God
Shows No Partiality A. It is a message that resonates throughout
the New Testament: 1. “For God shows no partiality” (Rom
2:11) 2. “Truly I understand that God shows no
partiality” (Acts 10:34-35) 3. “There is no partiality with him” (Eph
6:5-9) 4. “There is no partiality” (Col 3:23-25) 5.
“My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord
Jesus Christ” (James 2:1) B. The question is, why? Why are we repeatedly
reminded that God does not show partiality?
◻ He COULD Have Declared Only Certain Individuals Guilty of
____________ • And yet, “there is no
distinction: for all have sinned” (Rom 3:22-23) • The stories of others are recorded for
our learning and our warning (1 Cor 10:11-13) ◻ He COULD Have Provided a Savior for an
____________ Group • And yet, he “gave his only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish” (John 3:16) • The gospel is for all (Mark 16:15-16; 1
Tim 2:3-4; Titus 2:11; Rom 1:16; 1 John 2:1-2) ◻ He COULD Have Given Different
________________________ to Mankind •
And yet, the Scriptures make us “complete, equipped for every good work” (2
Tim 3:16-17) • He “has granted to us”
what we need for “life and godliness” (2 Pet 1:3; John 12:48) ◻ He COULD Have Outlined Different
Conditions of _______________ • And
yet, there is not “another” gospel other than “the gospel of Christ” (Gal
1:6-9) • A “common salvation” is
enjoyed by those who have responded to “the faith” (Jude 3) ◻ He COULD Have Established Many Different
____________________ • And yet, his
Son clearly promised, “I will build my church” (Matt 16:18) • Just because something else exists does
not mean God approves (Matt 15:13; 2 Cor 11:3) ◻ He COULD Eventually Reveal Himself as a
Partial ____________ • And yet, he
has promised to “render to each one according to his works” (Rom 2:4-11) • Let there be no doubt: our Creator is
“not wishing that any should perish” (2 Pet 3:9-11) MY NEXT
