110807 AM Why Do We Exist as a Local Church
Hebrews
3:12-14 (ESV) 12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil,
unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But
exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of
you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share
in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
Ephesians 4:10-12 (ESV) 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far
above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave the
apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to
equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of
Christ, Ephesians 3:13-16 (ESV) 13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I
am suffering for you, which is your glory. 14 For this reason I bow my knees
before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 1 Corinthians 12:24-26 (ESV) 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. |
