Romans
6: 17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become
obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were
committed, 18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of
righteousness. Romans 7: 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from
this body of death? Luke: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he
has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim
liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s
favor.” Romans 8: 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not
willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation
itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom
of the glory of the children of God. Galations 5:1 For freedom Christ has set
us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Exodus 20: 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of slavery. Acts 16: 22 The crowd joined in attacking
them, and the magistrates tore the garments off them and gave orders to beat
them with rods. 23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they
threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. 24 Having
received this order, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their
feet in the stocks. 25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing
hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, James 4: 7 Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 30
As he was saying these things, many believed in him. 31 So Jesus said to the
Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my
disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been
enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?” 34 Jesus
answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a
slave [2] to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son
remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 1
Cor. 10: 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is
faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with
the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able
to endure it. 2 Peter 2:9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from
trials, [4] and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of
judgment, 1 Cor. 15: 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is
the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ. Hebrews 2: 14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and
blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he
might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and
deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong
slavery. |
