3:16 (ESV) 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:3-8
(ESV) 3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born
again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a
man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb
and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That
which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The
wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where
it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the
Spirit.” Matthew 3:16 (ESV) 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he
went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; Acts
8:35-39 (ESV) 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this
Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. 36 And as they were going
along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is
water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 38 And he commanded the chariot
to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and
he baptized him. 39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the
Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way
rejoicing. Acts 10:47-48 (ESV) 47 “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing
these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 And he
commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked
him to remain for some days. 1 Corinthians 6:11 (ESV) 11 And such were some
of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians
4:15 (ESV) 15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have
many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
James 1:16-18 (ESV) 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of
lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18 Of his own
will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of
firstfruits of his creatures. Luke 8:11 (ESV) 11 Now the parable is this: The
seed is the word of God. 1 Peter 1:22-23 (ESV) 22 Having purified your souls
by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another
earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of
perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of
God; 1 John 5:1 (ESV) 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has
been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been
born of him. 1 Peter 1:22 (ESV) 22 Having purified your souls by your
obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another
earnestly from a pure heart, 1 John 4:7 (ESV) 7 Beloved, let us love one
another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and
knows God. 1 John 2:28-29 (ESV) 28 And now, little children, abide in him, so
that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame
at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone
who practices righteousness has been born of him. 1 Peter 1:3 (ESV) 3 Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy,
he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection
