Reflecting
on 2014: Have We Lived God-shaped?
This year our theme was being God-Shaped. Our aim was to allow God to
be potter and humble ourselves to become the clay and allow God to shape and
mold us according to His Will and according to His Word. Were we successful
in allowing God to shape us? Did we
produce fruit for God? Luke 13:6-9 Did
we allow ourselves, as clay, to be shaped by God? Isaiah 64:1-8; Are we
________ -Defined?
Ephesians 1:3-14; Isaiah 45:5, Job 12:10 Are we ________ -Centered? Colossians 1:15-20, 21-23 Are we ________ -Led? Galatians 5:16-25,
Romans 8:5-6 Are we ________
-Empowered? Romans 1:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:1-9 Are we ________ -Fueled? Romans 10:17; 2 Peter 1:5-11 This leads to the call for all Christians:
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my
beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of
the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. A tremendous illustration of someone being
God-shaped is Joshua. Joshua 1:1-9, Joshua 23:1-11; Joshua 24:14-15, 31 Can we say that we have “fought the
good fight”? 2 Timothy 4:6-7 (agonizomai) Our reward will be the crown
of life: 2 Timothy 4:8 |
